How Payments Work
All payments on Retiplex are processed by Polar Inc., our payment partner. Polar acts as the Merchant of Record, meaning they handle the actual billing transaction on our behalf. Retiplex never stores your payment card information.
When you subscribe or purchase extra credits, you will see "Polar" on your bank or credit card statement as the charge description.
Subscription Plans
Retiplex uses a monthly subscription model. Your subscription renews automatically each month on the anniversary of your signup date.
| Plan | Price | Monthly Credits | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $49/month | 5,000 | Perfect for small businesses testing video ads |
| Professional | $129/month | 15,000 | For marketers running regular campaigns |
| Enterprise | Custom | Unlimited | For agencies managing multiple clients |
All plans include access to 30+ AI actors, conversion-optimized script generation, full video ad creation, and custom scene editing. The Professional plan adds priority support and a lower effective cost per credit.
Understanding Credits
What credits pay for
Every content generation operation on Retiplex uses credits. This includes generating scripts, creating video scenes, producing voiceovers, and rendering your final video. The credit cost of each operation depends on its type and complexity.
Approximate costs
As a general guide, a typical 30-second video ad with several scenes costs approximately 500 credits. Here is a rough breakdown of what each step costs:
- Ad setup from URL — A small fixed cost to extract product information from your website.
- Script generation — A small cost that varies slightly based on the amount of product information provided.
- Scene planning (storyboard) — A small cost that varies based on the number of scenes and product details.
- Scene preview images — A small fixed cost per scene.
- Voiceover — Cost varies based on the length of the script.
- Video scenes — This is the largest cost. Each scene costs credits based on its type and duration. Scenes with AI actors and product shots are the most credit-intensive operations.
- Final render — A minimal fixed cost to compile your scenes into the final video.
Credits are deducted after each operation completes. You can track your credit balance and usage history in Settings.
Two types of credits
Your account can hold two types of credits:
- Subscription credits — Included with your monthly plan. These credits reset each billing cycle and do not roll over. Any unused subscription credits are forfeited when your plan renews.
- Extra credits — Purchased separately as one-time top-ups. These credits never expire and roll over indefinitely as long as your account is active.
When you generate content, the system always uses your subscription credits first. Extra credits are only consumed once your subscription credits for the current cycle are depleted.
Active subscription required
You must have an active subscription to use any credits for content generation — including extra credits. If your subscription expires or is cancelled, your extra credits remain on your account and become available again when you resubscribe.
Buying Extra Credits
If you run out of credits before your billing cycle renews, you can purchase extra credits at any time:
| Credits | Price | Cost per Credit |
|---|---|---|
| 500 | $10 | $0.020 |
| 1,800 | $30 | $0.017 |
| 7,500 | $100 | $0.013 |
Larger top-ups offer a better price per credit. Extra credits are added to your account immediately after purchase.
Changing Your Plan
Upgrading
When you upgrade (e.g., Starter to Professional), the change takes effect immediately. You pay a prorated amount for the remainder of your current billing cycle — only the price difference between plans, not the full price of the new plan. The additional credits from the higher plan are added to your balance right away.
Example: If you are 15 days into a Starter plan and upgrade to Professional, you pay roughly half the $80 difference (~$40) and receive the credit difference (10,000 credits) immediately.
Downgrading
When you downgrade (e.g., Professional to Starter), the change takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle. Until your renewal date, you keep full access to your current plan's features and credit allocation. On renewal, the lower plan and its credit allocation take effect.
Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time from Settings. When you cancel:
- Your subscription remains active until the end of your current billing period.
- You can continue generating content and using credits until then.
- On the renewal date, your subscription ends and you lose access to content generation features.
- Any remaining subscription credits are forfeited. Extra credits are preserved.
Changed your mind? You can reactivate a cancelled subscription at any time before the billing period ends, and everything continues as normal.
Refunds
Retiplex is a subscription-based service. We offer refunds only when both of the following are true:
- The subscription was started by mistake or unintentionally.
- No credits have been used for content generation since the charge.
We do not offer refunds mid-cycle or after credits have been consumed. Extra credit purchases are non-refundable once added to your account.
To request a refund, email support@retiplex.com within 7 days of the charge.
